Chris Osborne

I have known Chris since he arrived in Langport, a bright young chap who livened up the town in, sometimes, no uncertain terms.

He quickly established himself in the community joining in with exuberance and always full of fun.

Remembering the good times when Chris, Marshall Sturgeon and Harry Wybrow would congregate in the British Legion Club and Eli’s playing their own brand of music encouraging everyone present to either sing along or get up and dance.

I have also known Chris in his capacity as a Langport Town Councillor and subsequently as Chairman and as I have served on the Huish Episcopi Parish Council for over forty years we constantly met up with each other. We sometimes held differing points of view but never with any conflict ending up as always, the best of friends and compatriots.

These are my own memories of Chris and I am sure there are many people in Langport and surrounds who have their own.

I not only send my condolences to Margaret and family but also those of all the members of Huish Episcopi Parish Council.
