Presenting the bookmarks 1

At the Huish Episcopi Parish Council meeting held 21st July 2014 it was agreed that as a token of respect for the fallen in the First World War every child attending the Huish Episcopi Primary School should be presented with a suitably inscribed leather bookmark.

Given the knowledge that Somerset County Council were planning to recognise the centenary of the commencement of the war by way of booklets for all of the children the idea of bookmarks was seen as an appropriate choice.

For further images depicting the various ways the centenary was marked by the Primary School please refer to the Gallery on this website.
