12th April, 2013 - Yarlington Community Day 4th April, 2013 was enjoyed by many people, young and old, although, unfortunately the weather was not too kind! This photograph shows Julie Worthing, who has been nominated to receive the Community Project Prize Award for her achievement in helping to forge ahead with the MUGA, Simon Martin one of the team and Shirley Nicholas, Chairman of Huish Episcopi Parish Council. Julie has worked tirelessly with this project, although at the time she had joined the staff at our Langport Surgery training to qualify as a dispenser. However, this did not deter her from the vision of having a MUGA on the Recreational Field in Langport.
Julie's interest in all of this was to contribute something back to the community and to benefit the youngsters in our area; Julie was encouraged by her family, especially the support of her husband.
