I was born in Aller into a farming family.
In 1980 I moved to Merricks Farm, Huish Episcopi with my wife Margaret and son Matthew. In 1990 I retired from farming to pursue other interests.
In 1980 I was approached by the then Chairman of the council Reg Pitman and Wilf Adams to join Huish Episcopi Parish Council, which I duly did and have enjoyed the role ever since.
I now reside in Huish Episcopi from where I operate a transport business.
For the past twenty years I have been Chairman of the Huish Episcopi and Langport Cricket Club.
I take the same view now as I did some 30 odd years ago that Huish Episcopi should support Langport as much as possible if our communities are to prosper and grow.
Specific responsibilities: Staffing, Land Management (including lengthsman) Development Control Planning, Community.
