The Lime Kiln
The Lime Kiln is a traditional inn situated in rolling countryside on the edge of the Somerset Levels in the village of Knole. With low beams and open fireplaces, this pub dates back to the 17th century and has beautiful views across the local countryside. You can expect a wealth of home cooked food and real ales in a pub full of character and charm. The Lime Kiln has been fully restored to its original glory with settles, antique furniture and old pictures of local village scenes and includes a large dining room and an impressive inglenook fireplace.
Stop by to sample the seasonally changing menu and a read of the paper by the fire in the winter months, or relax in the expansive pub garden during the summer months with a refreshing pint of Butcombe in the sunshine.
With a large car park, it is the perfect meeting spot for friends and family, or a great location to finish a countryside walk with that well-deserved pint. With a weeknight specials menu including steak night, and fish and chip Friday, as well as the standard main menu, lite bites and sandwich/salad menu – there is plenty of choice for everyone.
Join the Butcombe Loyalty Card membership scheme to get 25% off your food bill every Wednesday, as well as collecting points for every pound you spend at The Lime Kiln, as well as any Butcombe managed pub. Points quite literally mean pints!
