Well 2013 started very cold, getting things started was a real problem by the end of May everything seemed a month behind. I had daffodils in full flower in late May!
By mid June the summer arrived and we had a bumper year, fruit did extremely well as did peas and beans. The potato crop escaped the blight and outdoor tomatoes cropped well before succumbing to blight.
Sharing of produce was again widespread and the allotmenteers gathering was well supported and great fun, although it did rain!!
The pump driven water supply works very well so another dry summer won't be a problem.
We are a friendly lot and always willing to help in any way we can.
