Help shape the future of country by working as part of the test Census team in South Somerset

Help shape the future of country by working as part of the test Census team in South Somerset

Are you looking to be part of something special? The Census is a fantastic project, dating all the way back to 1801. It’s a completely unique mission, and will involve every household in England and Wales. Because no two censuses are the same, a test is being carried out this year and they need your help!

Being a part of the preparation for the 2021 Census will mean that you make a real difference to society, and work on a project with huge significance and impact. The Office for National Statistics are looking for people with a range of skills and have both full and part time temporary roles available.

What jobs are available?

They need temporary Census Officers who go knocking from door to door. These roles could be perfect for you if you’re looking to:
• Earn some extra money
• Invest in your community
• Return to work after a break
• Earn some money whilst you study
• Work after you’ve retired

What’s in it for me?

Working on the Census is an excellent opportunity and delivers many benefits. In addition to gaining invaluable experience in the Public Sector, you’ll develop your skills and experience on a project of national significance. Being a valuable part of this one-of-a-kind project, you’ll make a real difference to your community and help to shape the future of the country. You’ll also enjoy flexible working hours.
